Job Description
The M&A team provides advice on managing divestments and acquisitions of companies in Russia/ CIS and abroad. We support our clients throughout the M&A process from initial planning and preparation to closing.
We advise our clients on:
Mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Joint ventures, partnerships & alliances
Shareholder and management buyouts
Their financing needs
Responsibilities:
In consultation with the Partner, leading the M&A practice on a day to day basis, including strategy, service offering, marketing, business development and delivery;
strategic development of the M&A service line, including initiation of new services and product offerings to clients;
development and maintenance of relationships that bring in business;
management of a network of sources and contacts;
anticipation and management of future resource requirements;
supervision and development of managers and junior staff;
maintain a high performing team, focus on quality, integrity and delivery;
deal effectively with engagement and service line risk management.
Desired Skills & Experience
Higher education in finance or economics;
ACCA or CFA qualification is desirable, possibly – MBA degree;
work experience of not less than 8-10 years in corporate finance (particularly various M&A deals) in a foreign or Russian investment bank, financial conglomerate, CF practice of a Big 4 firm or large corporation, large cap advisory firm in Russia and/or abroad;
track record of deals successfully closed;
well-established reputation on the market;
experience in preparation of analytical documents: information memorandum, business plan, feasibility study, teaser etc.
experience in financial models preparation;
experience of managing project teams;
expert and deep understanding of economic and political undercurrents in Russia and the CIS;
deep knowledge of the certain industry (natural resources);
understanding the range of financing structures;
extensive network of contacts within the Russian financial circles is desirable;
excellent command of English, desirably Russian;
ability to establish instant credibility and make quick, accurate judgments of facts or character;
ability to quickly adapt to changing environment and various circumstances;
an enquiring and creative mind, strong analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills;
drive and creative problem solving.
